Evidence Of Evolution

Evidence Of Evolution

Fossils: Fossils are one of the main evidential piece of evidence of Evolution. Fossils still give us an idea of what the organisms used to look like before humans, they also gives us a rough idea on how the animals have changed throughout time. Although as cool as fossils look, there is one of the problems with the fossils is that it contains gaps. Not all organisms fossilise well. This may mean that fossils may have been destroyed or damaged by our planet.

Changes Of Animals: One of the few animals for which we have a fairly complete record is the horse. The horse was once the size of a dog. [Over 60 million years ago] When the horse was this size it lived in rainforests. Then from 0.4 metres, it was sized at 0.6 metres. This is a average size for a small pig. [Over 40 millions years ago] From 0.6m the 'small pig' turned into 1 metre tall. Then into what we know today as a horse.

Similarities of Embryos: An embryo is an unborn (or unhatched) animal or human young in its earliest phases. Embryos of many different kinds of animals: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, etc. look very similar, its hard to tell what's what. Animals are similar and that they develop similarly, this may mean that they are related , they have common ancestors and that they started out the same.
